Applewood Hockey Association

The U16 A 101 Coyotes travelled to Montreal on December 2-4 to participate in the CAN/AM Tournament.

Going 2-1 in the round robin games, the boys wrapped up the tournament in exciting fashion.

The 1-0 victory in the championship game came from a powerplay goal near the end of the 2nd period. The team successfully killed a few penalties at the start of the third period but held on to the lead to win the tournament and take Gold. The Coyotes win when it counted, against the Don Mills Mustangs came after losing to them in the round robin.

Strong team defense, discipline and excellent goaltending were keys to the victory.
